Wow we have had a blast of winter weather but it is winter. We had a total of 71 phone calls into my office, and we had a total of 18 veterans for appointments this month and we had a total of 31 veterans trips to their clinics and hospital’s. I will be at the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville on Dec 4th Thursday from 1-4 pm. Come and meet the new Veteran Service Officer Nick Kashon. He will be moving into my old office so the phone number and location will remain the same.
Also, if you are a veteran over 65 years of age please come to the Auditors Office in the Government Center please call 765-364-6400. This will need to be done before the end of the year 2025! You will need to provide last years tax return to prove your income.
Dan Taylor the Attorney in Crawfordsville told me last week we have done 70 Free Will’s for Veterans this year compared to 58 done last year. S o if you’re a veteran see Dan please call him at 765-361-9680. Now for Dates to Remember Dec. 7th, 2025- Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day- The anniversary of the day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, signaling the US entrance into WW2. Dec 13th 2025, National Guard Birthday, Dec. 20, 2025 Space Force Birthday and Dec. 20, 2025 National Wreaths Across America Day.
Veteran Legal Clinic the second Tuesday of each month 11am-4pm, VA Medical Center 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, In 46202 Auditorium AB-066 to eligible low-income Hoosier Veterans Service members, and their families in non-criminal cases.
Now it is with mixed emotions that I must say GOODBYE to the Veterans and spouses of Montgomery County as I need to hang it up on Dec 30th. A retirement party is planned for me on Dec 20th from 3:30 to 5:30 at the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville, IN so if you can please stop by so that I may say goodbye to you personally.
