Gun Permits

Gun Permits are issued out to County Residents from the Sheriff's Department. The Gun Permit Application can be filled out at the Sheriff's Department (Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am-4pm, excluding holidays). Local Fees are Cash Only and State Fees are to be paid by Money Order only, made out to the State of Indiana. **NEW** Applications can now be filled out online by going to https://www.in.gov/isp/ You will still be required to go to the Sheriff's Department and sign your application and pay for all fees as stated above.  Please contact: R&R Investigative Services LLC, 205 E. * A portion of the local fee is refundable if a license is not issued. The entire state fee is refundable if no license is issued.
 

The Sheriff's Office accepts applications for Gun Permits for any resident of Montgomery County that does not reside within the limits of a Town or City.  All residents of Towns or Cities must apply for Gun Permits at their local Police Department.
