Well we have had our fill of 90 degree weather but it will change. We have had a total of 61 phone calls into my office, and I had a total of 19 veterans into my office this month and we transported 24 veterans to their clinics and hospitals. I had to travel to Indy for meetings for two days and we learned a lot. We have 2,163 veterans in the county which is 7.38% of the population and we have a total of 2006 men and 157 women veterans in the county. We had updates from the Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs, Suicide Prevention, and the DAV update. If anyone is looking for a job, Crane Army Ammunition Activity is now hiring. The VA Regional Office and claims are running about 135 days and the VFW and the American Legion. The Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette houses Veteran just like a nursing home.
I will go to the American Legion Post 72 on Thursday the 3rd of July to meet with anyone, please call me if you would like to meet at 765-361-4133 or just come in between 1-4 PM.
I will also be at the VFW Post 1431 in Crawfordsville on July 17th from 1-3 pm please give me a call at 765-361-4133 and then I will be at the DAV meeting at the Library on Saturday, July 19th 12:00 noon till 2 pm so please come and see me.
