SR234 will Close east of U.S. 231 in Montgomery County

60 day closure is scheduled

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 234 (S.R. 234) will close on or after Monday, June 1 for a bridge maintenance and repair project nearly five miles east of U.S. 231 in Montgomery County.  This project will replace a small structure at this location.  The roadway is scheduled to reopen on August 8 of this year.  3d Company, Inc. was awarded the $331,665 contract.

The detour follows U.S. 231 north to I-74 east to S.R. 75 south and back to S.R. 234.  Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
