New Business

Taylor Powell Attorney Agreement -

Approved.

 

The Plan Commission has a Re-zone request pending and County Attorney Dan Taylor and Tyler Nichols have discovered a conflict of interest and are unable to represent the Plan Commission in the Re-Zone Request to change a piece of property on CR300S from Agricultural to Residential.  Taylor Powell is an attorney from Covington and he will replace Mr. Taylor & Mr. Nichols in the Re-Zone hearing and any other matters concerning the Re-Zone.

 

Authorize Spending of $250,000 from ARP Funds for Shelley Drain Project -

Authorized.

 

The Montgomery County Drainage Board have approved moving forward with reconstruction of the Shelley Drain which is located within the City of Crawfordsville and Montgomery County.  Due to the large expense of the reconstruction, the Commissioners have authorized the appropriation of $250,000 from the ARPA Fund to help bring down the cost of the Project to the property owners within Shelly Drain watershed.

Final Reading Ordinance 2023-3: Creating Partial 2023 Problem Solving Drug Court Grant Fund -

Approved.

The $8,000 grant provides funding for the Drug Court Program, specifically $2,500 Training; $1,500 Incentives; $2,800 Drug Screens; $600 Treatment and $600 Emergency Housing.

 

Final Reading Ordinance 2023-4: Creating Partial 2023 Family Recovery Court Problem Solving Grant Fund -

Approved.

The $8,000 grant provides funding for the Family Recovery Court Program, specifically $2,000 Incentives; $2,500 Training; $3,000 Chemical Testing and $500 Emergency Housing.

 

Final Reading Ordinance 2023-5: Creating Partial 2023 Veteran Court Problem Solving Grant Fund

Approved.

The $7,500 grant provides funding for the Vet Court Program, specifically $1,200 Incentives; $2,800 Training; $2,500 Chemical Testing; $500 Emergency Housing and $500 Transportation.
